Covid-19 has changed our lives, the way we think and the way we lead our lives, it has placed an un-imaginable stress on all of us and our NHS. The nursing teams who work within intensive care have been tested to their limits, working tirelessly with little or no respite.

We are so excited by what Radiolove and our community can bring, all the feedback that we have received from the nurses of ICU has been so positive, but it’s clear that more needs to be done. With your help we shall try to continue with our work through 2021 and beyond, the more we can raise through the generosity of our supporters, the further our journey will take us.

We want to connect people, to join those who support us with the amazing nurses who work under incredible pressure. We also want to support vulnerable patients of ICU, providing them with the comfort of a radio, allowing their friends and families to connect with them through their favourite music, sharing the moment ………..

Research suggests that within NHS England there are 164 hospital's that have intensive care units. The number beds on those wards will vary but the overall figure NHS England is close to 5,400 beds, NHS Scotland has a further 585 beds and Northern Island has 108.

Our aim is to provide 1 in 4 beds with access to a radio, a target of 1,500 radio's. Our fundraising efforts so far can be seen below, and our message board provides our community with the platform to share our thanks and appreciation with our nurses and doctors of ICU.

Our final target is not fixed, and it is likely to change as our community grows.
